City of Eagle Calls for Artists to Create Saturday Market Poster
There’s no disputing the magic of Eagle Saturday Market; it’s a societal meet-up spot where the community gathers to enjoy local produce, crafts, music, and more. Now the City of Eagle invites you to take center stage in a new way.
The City of Eagle is eagerly searching for innovative individuals in the Ada County region for an exciting opportunity: the creation of this year’s Eagle Saturday Market poster! Commencing in 2024, the bustling Saturday Market will be hosted at the new Eagle City Hall Campus (located at 660 E Civic Lane, Eagle, Idaho). The market days stretch from May 4 to October 5, taking small breaks on July 6 and 13.
Artists among us, heed the call. Let your ideas take flight and bring them to reality. The lucky winner will bag a fantastic prize of $500! All entries must be completed in their entirety and submitted to the City of Eagle by the 8th of March. This could be your time to shimmer in the spotlight, to flex your innovative muscles, and to get your art recognized.
The Eagle Saturday Market 2024 Poster Contest is open to everybody—artists, designers, and illustrators of all ages and experience levels, including individual hopefuls and teams. The deadline for your creative submissions is Friday, March 8th, 2024, by 5:00 PM. A jury panel made up of representatives from the Eagle City Council, the Mayor, Eagle Saturday Market staff, and City of Eagle staff will carefully choose the auspicious winner.
Remember, it’s one entry per person or team, and submissions are exclusive to Ada County residents. Good news for Boise State University and College of Western Idaho students – exemptions have been made!
The victorious entry will become the property of the City of Eagle, and the artist may need to provide a print-ready format post-selection.
Applicants who do not reach the finalist round can collect their submissions by March 15th, 2024. Please be aware that any entry not collected by March 22nd, 2024, will be responsibly recycled.
As an additional perk, the chosen poster will go into mass production! The City of Eagle will order a whopping 250 posters for distribution across the community. The winner stands to gain not only the generous cash prize but also the chance to have their artwork showcased citywide!
